ON-OFF documents a two day journey I did with a New Age group called Mantra back in 2004. Their goal with this Package trip to the countryside was to see UFO’s and collectively open a specific energy gate called 11/11 (on the 11th of November) while they confronted themselves at the heart of healing inner traumas in search for a mystical truth from beyond.

I found their flyer on the street and called. I asked them if I could film the experience and travel with them dressed as a fat man. They agreed to accept me as I was: an artist filled with questions in a fat suit and a mysterious no words camera man. When I was 12 I was obese. This is not a scripted work, the intuitive video captures the had boiled uncomfortable experience as it occurred, throughout the two day journey.

I see this work as a very early exploration of inner invocation, sci-fi meditation, endurance,  fiscal  transformation while exposing my self in a real life context were the turnout of the unpredictable experience might help me or us understand why I had chosen to be an artist. Oposite from being being a hidden camera, the video explored how art could open a gate to the unknown as we all left earth in a collective onnnnn.
